Hi, I’m Sophie Burch (HCBT, GQHP).
As a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist, and expert in anxieties, women’s mental health and the perinatal period, I offer confidential, non-judgmental therapy. You are unique and we will work together to bring you back into balance, your way.
I know what it’s like to wrestle with mental ill-health - and to overcome that struggle and I’m dedicated to helping people make the necessary changes to become themselves again, or a new, more balanced version of themselves if that’s what it takes! Everyone is unique, and I use my knowledge, expertise and experience to craft a therapy plan to suit each individual depending on their needs and of course, budget.
I love helping people find ways to overcome stress and anxiety, reaching their full potential, increasing self confidence and self esteem and putting their fears aside. Often in just a few sessions!
I specialise in the perinatal period, but take an avid interest in helping parents who feel anxious, stressed or depressed, and women going through transitional times such as returning to work after maternity, job changes, or hormonal/menstrual changes.
My relevant Experience and Qualifications:
In 2018, I completed Stage 2 (Behavioural Hypnotherapy) and Stage 3 (Cognitive Hypnotherapy) and gained the Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy.
In 2012, I studied Hypno-CBT with the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy in London, gaining a certificate in Evidence-Based Hypnosis.
I’ve worked with Hypnosis in Childbirth for more than 10 years with 100’s of couples in pregnancy, birth and parenting, 1:1 and groups, having trained with the HypnoBirthing Institute in 2008.
I have a certificate from the Make Birth Better organisation from their training in Trauma Informed Care for Birth.
I have a recently attended the MIND training in Suicide First Aid.
